Kirsten De Smet

I've always dreamed of both teaching and dancing. Soon I found out that I wanted to combine both passions. After completing my studies at the Royal Ballet School Antwerp, I was accepted to the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp. There I studied contemporary dance in greater depth. After several years training under Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Min Hee Bervoets andseveral other dancers, I earned my teaching degree and started as a dance teacher. Now you can find me teaching in the Royal Ballet School Antwerp and many other schools. I try to focus on the meaning of dance: showing who you are and what dance means to you. Love, smile, sleep and eat, keep calm and move those feet!
