Dinah Candael

Not only am I responsible for the healthy nourishment of our pupils and staff, but I’ve  also had a rich background in singing and dance. My mother was passionate about opera and my father worked as a percussion teacher and conducted  the ballet orchestra. I was often present at ballet performances. I even started my educational career in Prinsstraat, but after my father's death it all became too emotional for me. I changed tack, took singing lessons and actively started taking Argentine tango lessons. Now I'm working at the Royal Ballet School Antwerp with great pleasure and I've realised that sometimes one dream morphs into a whole different one. Our pupils must work very hard, but I hope it is a voyage of discovery driven by great ambition, much fun and never-ending wonderment.
