Auditions
You can only follow our dance programme after a successful audition. During your audition, we will not only assess your technique, coordination and musical aptitude, but also examine your physical suitability and your potential career in (neo)classical and contemporary or modern dance.
Procedure A: LIVE Audition for B1 and B2
You can register for one of the preliminary auditions we organize every spring. You are welcome at the Royal Ballet School in Antwerp to showcase your talent to a jury of dance experts. After your audition, you will be notified as soon as possible whether you have passed, and we will inform you if you can start at the Royal Ballet School in the upcoming school year.
It is important to know that for the first year, ballet experience or ballet technique is required to participate in the auditions. You will be assessed on your physical abilities, talent, musicality, individuality, and potential.

Procedure B: VIDEO Audition for B3-B4-B5-B6 and the Continuation Year B7
(International) students who wish to apply for B3, B4, B5, B6, and the continuation year B7 can do so through a video audition. The requirements for your video audition can be found at the bottom of this page.
When submitting your video, we request a registration fee of 26 euros. After the payment of the fee, your video will be judged. Once the video has been evaluated, you will receive a notification about your result.
Video auditions are open until May 23, 2025.
